Serving Albuquerque’s Needs as they Evolve
Experience in the Community, Benefitting the Community
Our directors have professional foundations in supporting learning, growth, self-expression, mental health, and community-building. These are the blocks with which the Albuquerque Healing Collective will be built. By maintaining flexibility in the space and connection to our neighbors, we will continue to evolve and fill the needs that arise in our corner of the North Valley.

Supportive Services and Spaces
-

Community Gardens
A dozen plots available to the public for those who want to get their hands in the dirt. Gardeners are encouraged to grow edible plants to share with the community, as well as native, pollinator-friendly species.
-

Eco-Boutique
Local artists and re-sellers are welcome to join us in the boutique, where they are provided space to share their hand-made art, and vintage or second-hand clothing and other items with the community. Come support local, sustainable businesses and bring home a new-to-you treasure!
-

Makers Space
Paint and canvas, clay and glaze, yarn and hooks, and much more available for public use! Our makers space will host art therapy groups, workshops, and open artist hours. Come get messy and make something beautiful and meaningful.
-

Therapeutic Support
Walk-in mental health support sessions, art therapy groups and more will be offered to our visitors. Services are designed to help understand and process experiences and emotions, and take the first steps toward moving through challenges.
Community Gathering Spaces
The historic Samuel Shalit House provides 4,700+ square feet of indoor space, as well as nearly an acre of land.
Under the thatch-style roof, multiple rooms with original windows and hardwood floors are available to use for workshops, book talks, club meetings, yoga and meditation classes, and celebrations of all kinds.
Outside, the South side of the property provides ample space for larger gatherings, fundraisers, private events and more.
Farm-to-Table Nutrition, Literally
We use our well access to grow the food. We use our commercial kitchen to prepare the food. We welcome vulnerable members of the community to enjoy the food— no questions asked.
-
Gardeners are encouraged to use sustainable practices and donate to the collective kitchen.
-
Our kitchens will be available for cooking classes, herbalism workshops, and preparing community meals.
-
Monthly community meals will be made available to the public for free, because food is a human right.
